Imagine 1/99 In Dreaming They Come *1* Sunday Feithe stood as the girl entered the mission lobby. She watched as the girl with pale green hair set down her luggage and returned Feithe's scrutiny. The girl was tall and fairskinned. Her green eyes stood out. Feithe had long blonde hair and was slightly shorter. Her eyes were a mismatched green and brown. She wore loose sweat pants and a white T-shirt. Feithe grinned and hugged her. "I've missed you Abri. You look great." Abri laughed and squeezed her old friend. "It's felt like forever since our time in the states. You're looking pretty good yourself." Feithe chuckled, "Well, time with the Senshi have kept me in shape. What've you been doing?" "I tracked down father's killer. But I couldn't bear to kill him. I let him go and this woman approached me. She was also immortal, but wore a Salidihm uniform. She told me that she needed me to train under her and come here to guide the Senshi past a critical point." Abri explained. "Where are you staying?" Feithe asked. Abri smiled. "I am staying in Nerima. It's closer to here than Juuban. Universal Salidihm Imagine has gotten me a place to stay with the Kunos and I will attend Furinken High School." Feithe nodded. "I'll see you after school tomorrow then?" Abri nodded, "Sure, we've got some catching up to." They hugged and went their separate ways. * * Abri was greeted by a maid at the door who carried her luggage upstairs. A man in a Hawaiian T-shirt ran up and hugged her. "Welcome! We are so happy to see you. My cousin has told us wonderful things about you. We are happy to help any family member, no matter how distant." Abri nodded. "My mother sends her thanks." Two teenagers walked haughtily into the room. "These are my children Tatewaki and Kodachi." He turned to the teenagers. "This is your very extremely distant cousin that is barely related to us but has lots of money." Kodachi smiled. "I'm sure. She seems decent enough not to soil the family name with her presence." However, Tatewaki's impression was much different. "As we have very little family relation, oh goddess that uses your powers to overwhelm my soul, you may date me!" Abri smiled but it was a sad smile. "I can't get into a relationship like that yet. It's too......soon." He nodded. "Ah, some pain doth hold it's power over you. I shall wait and help you overcome it, Queen of my heart." Abri rubbed her eyes wearily. "I need to rest." Tate looked very serious and took her hand. "I will show you to your room." *2* Monday Feithe heard her friend walk into class. This was easy to do because of the groaning sound of a boy who'd just been beat up. The brown haired girl walked in and grinned. "I saw Shinozaki last night." Feithe nodded absently and continued staring at the wall. "He asked me out." Makoto added. "Hmmmm," Feithe commented. Makoto frowned. "He has turned into a girl and grown three heads." she said to see if Feithe was listening. "That could certainly put a crimp in your relationship. However, three times the kisses can be a very good thing." Feithe said without turning. Makoto stood in front of Feithe's desk and blocked her view to the wall. "What's wrong?" Feithe sat up and rubbed her eyes. "I saw an old friend last night." "And?" Makoto prodded. Feithe shrugged. "She's had some trouble and I'm not sure how she's handled it." She saw Usagi and Minako rush by. "I won't be at the meeting today." The bell rang and class begun. * * Abri walked to school with Tatewaki who she found to be commonly called Kuno. She wore american clothing rather than the school uniform. Kuno had offered to carry her bag, but she opted to carry it for herself. At the school yard Kuno immediately called out a boy around sixteen. "Ranma Saotome, you foul sorcerer. Come and meet the end of your womanizing days!" A boy with a long dark hair who also opted out of the dress code stepped forward. "Can it, Kuno." Abri assessed the youth and concluded Ranma was trained better by far. He carried himself with ease and confidence. From the attitude of the crowd, this was an every day occurrence. She felt a tap on her arm as the to boy began to fight. She turned to see a girl with short brown hair and greedy eyes. "You're new, who are you?" Abri smiled. "That will be a hundred yen for my name." The girl considered and then gave her the money. "I am Abri Tides." The girl nodded. "500 yen for where your from and what you are to Kuno. I'll add in my info as well." "Deal. I am a very extremely distant cousin that is barely related to him, but has money. I hail from all over and never stay in one place for more than a year." "I am Nabiki Tendo. I grew up here." the girl said in return. "All your money back for a rundown of the locals." Abri offered. "Deal. The boy fighting Kuno is Ranma Saotome. He is affianced to Akane Tendo over there with the blue hair and Ukyo Kuonji in the boy's uniform. He is also affianced to a chinese amazon named Xian Pu or more commonly, Shampoo. Your cousin Kodachi is also obsessed with him. Akane is my sister and a martial artist of Anything Goes Martial Arts. Kuonji is an okynomiaki chef. She pursues Ranma with a vengeance. Shampoo was beaten in a fight by Ranma and by Chinese Amazon law is now engaged to him. Mousse loves Shampoo and constantly calls Ranma out. Kuno and Ryoga, a boy with a terrible sense of direction, both call Ranma out over Akane." Nabiki said as she took the money. Abri nodded. "We will do business again. Good day," * * Half way through lunch after Akane had finished chasing Ranma around, Ranma collapsed on the bench Abri occupied. She grinned at the boy. "You must be Ranma Saotome. I am Abri Tides." He sat up. "You're new. Are you from America?" She nodded. "I traveled awhile, usually in America. I've lived all over though." He grinned. "You speak good Japanese. Where did you learn it?" She winced in pain. "My ...father taught me." "Is he dead?" Ranma asked bluntly. Then he realized how that had sounded. "I'm sorry," he said expecting her to either hit him or break into tears. She did neither. "Yes, he was killed a few years ago in a fighting match." "Do you fight?" Ranma asked. She nodded. "Have you ever heard of Tahashi Saotome?" "My grandfather," Ranma said. "He taught my father the Everything Goes School of Martial arts style. It is similar to the Anything Goes style. The two schools were terrible rivals back then. My father taught me. I can also use a javelin." Abri said. "You should meet Pop." Ranma said She nodded. "I would like that. Tomorrow after school?" Ranma nodded. "Sure, sounds like fun." *3* Feithe was waiting outside the school for Abri. "How did your day go?" "It went." Abri answered. "But I found some friends of my father's." Feithe lifted an eyebrow. "Friends of yours?" "I think so." Abri answered with a hopeful smile. "Tatewaki is sweet, but a bit smothering. The others seem very fun to be with though." Feithe suddenly jerked as her arm spasmed. "The Senshi are under attack." * * Sailor Jupiter held her arm in pain and glared at the monster which resembled the Jolly Green Giant. "Supreme Vital Pressure!" she yelled out. The lightning from the attack was absorbed and he laughed. It moved towards Jupiter and Mars yelled out, "Mars Flame Sniper!" The rain of fire arrows bounced off as if reached Jupiter and threw her against a tree. "Shiny Aqua Illusion!" Mercury yelled out in an attempt to freeze it. It evaded the attack and knocked her into Mars. They both fell into a nearby fountain. "Venus Love-Me Chain!" Venus yelled out and snared the monster with a chain of hearts. It grabbed the chain and flung her into a wall. Mercury and Mars stood only to be blasted by the energy it had absorbed. Sailor Wirres and another sailor in lime green and silver arrived. Wirres drew her sword and cleaved it in two. The monster split into two figures of itself and doubled teamed Wirres. They knocked her out with her own sword. Lastly the two faced the newest sailor. She held a javelin and spoke in low, clear tones. "I am Sailor Zephyr, servant of DEOS the Most High. My Guardian is the Protector of all. Commanded by DEOS, Sailor of Dreams!" They looked unimpressed by her speech. She smiled coldly at them. "Very well," she said and lifted her hand to the sky. "Zephyr Nightmare Change!" The Sailors could see no change, but the creatures jumped in terror. She attacked at first using the javelin as a quarterstaff and then used the blade. In their panic they made mistakes. In a few moments they vanished. Wirres stood groggily. "Wirres Heal!" she shouted and they quickly healed. She watched Zephyr, "Good job," Mars studied her. "What did you do?" she asked. "I made myself seem as their worst nightmare. Their fear is what got them." Abri explained. Jupiter was impressed. "What were they most afraid of?" Zephyr's gaze burned into her. "Dreams are private." Jupiter nodded and involuntarily stepped back. "Who are you?" Mercury asked. Zephyr looked exhausted and turned to Feithe. "I trust you." The others turned to her. When they looked back, Zephyr was gone." Feithe sighed. "Lets get some icecream and I'll explain. My treat," * * "In between Jupiter and Saturn is an asteroid belt. It was once the plant Zephyr. It was destroyed before the Silver Millennium." Feithe said. "It was the planet that ruled the others. When it was destroyed, only the five inner planets remained in the Empire." "What about the moon?" Ami (Mercury) asked. Feithe nodded, "The moon is a byproduct of the destruction of Zephyr. A large piece of Zephyr became trapped in Earth's atmosphere. It's population took charge of the inner planets. The outer planets remained allied but not under the law of the Moon Kingdom." "Will we meet Zephyr soon?" Minako (Venus) asked. Feithe shrugged. "I doubt it. She has a very difficult past and needs some time to think some things over. She will help us though." Mars (Rei) studied her. "You seem worried." Feithe nodded. "If Zephyr was needed it can only be because a very strong enemy is coming." "Hi guys!" a hyper voice piped up. They saw the Moon Princess, now Usagi Tsukino, arrive with Mamoru Chiba in tow. They all glowered at her. "What'd I miss?" she asked innocently. *4* Tuesday *The golden haired Queen sat on the black obsidian throne and regarded the last standing Senshi. "So, Obsidian Tokyo doesn't agree with you, Mako-Chan?" Sailor Jupiter glowered, but was restrained by guards. "You have no right to call me that anymore. You are not my Usagi- chan." The Queen laughed. "I am more than that whining little brat. I am more powerful than you can possibly dream!" She studied Jupiter's face. "But if we are speaking of rights, you have no right to even exist, not anymore." The two men holding her then stabbed Jupiter simultaneously with their swords. She fell to the ground, gasping. She tried to say something and the Queen laughed, looking like Usagi for a moment. "Did I miss something?"* Abri woke mid scream to see a small man at the side of her bed shaking her. "It's just a dream." he said. He offered her a glass. "Would you like some water?" She shook herself fully awake and took the glass. "Thank you, what is your name?" "Sasuke," he said with a bow. She smiled. "Thank you, Sasuke. How long was I screaming?" "Not long," he answered. "I heard you and thought something might be wrong, so I came up." She nodded. "I shouldn't dream again tonight. You should go to sleep." He nodded and slipped out. * * She left for school an hour early and dropped off her books. She then wandered around the neighborhood until she found the Anything Goes Martial Arts Tendo Family Dojo. She heard sounds from inside so she walked over to the door and knocked. A young woman with long brown hair opened the door. "Can I help you?" "I'm Abri Tides, is Ranma Saotome here?" she asked. The woman smiled. "Oh yes, would you like to come in and join us for breakfast?" Abri smiled, "Thank you." Ranma was surprised when Kasumi brought Abri over to the table. "Hi Ranma, I hope I'm not intruding." He shook his head and moved over so she could sit down. "Oh, no." He turned to his father. "Pop, this is the girl I told you about, Abri." The bald man with a bandanna on his head nodded at her. "My father spoke of a man he once taught. His name was Connor." Abri smiled, but it was overladen with sadness. "He was killed a few years ago." A man with long hair offered his hand. "I am Soun Tendo. These are my daughters Kasumi," he gestured to the woman who had welcomed her. "Nabiki and Akane." "Genma Saotome," Ranma's father said. She nodded. Ranma wolfed down his breakfast and asked, "What brings you here?" She shrugged. "I couldn't sleep and I didn't want to stay at the Kuno's." Kasumi put a cup of tea in front of her. "Thank you," Kasumi sat next to her. "Do you usually have trouble sleeping? There is a family recipe that helps." Abri winced. "It's not just sleeping. I have dreams, terrible dreams." No one acted as if she was strange. This was comforting and she continued. "And sometimes they come true." Kasumi hugged the girl sensing she needed some comfort. Abri relaxed into the hold and even Genma could see she was holding back tears. "We've got to go." Nabiki announced. Akane, Ranma, Nabiki, and Abri headed out. Abri's face hardened into a mask. *5* Monday night Feithe was not surprised when Sabere and Hakere came by the mission with Sailor Pluto in tow. She was glaring daggers at the two Guardians before her. Sabere was in her purple uniform and blue hair. Hakere was in his gold and purple also. Sabere sat at the table where Feithe did her homework. "We need to step up the timetable. Abri will not be able to teach the others in time. We need to call in Saeblin." Feithe considered. Abri would understand, hopefully. "I agree. I'll tell Abri tomorrow." Hakere stepped forward. "I want to go with you. I trained beside her." A muffled sound came from Pluto's direction attracted Feithe's direction. Hakere smiled mischievously and snapped. "I WON'T allow it!" she burst out. "You cannot awaken the others. You can't!" Feithe and Sabere exchanged glances and then started to laugh. After a few moments they could barely stay in their seats. Their faces were red. As Pluto darkened dangerously, Feithe said, "Thank you, Setsuna, you just made my day." With a twirl of her staff, Pluto vanished. *6* Tuesday Abri laughed at a bad joke Ranma made on the way back to the dojo after school. She was feeling more cheerful than she had in days. She faced Akane, "Mind if we have a small fight? To see how the two styles work against the other." Akane seemed pleased. "I would enjoy that. I'll change and meet you in the dojo." Abri nodded. She let her transformation wash over her, but it wasn't a Sailor transformation. A silver and lime green tight fitting warsuit took the place of her previously clothing. She saw Nabiki studying the change. She laughed. "It's only a change in clothing, nothing more." Akane came out a moment later in a gi. They faced off and Abri let Akane attack. They began slowly checking each others strengths. Akane then went all out and Abri was forced to use solely defense. Abri lost a few moments later but rolled to her feet with a smile. "You're good." Akane pulled her up. "You're not bad yourself." A new voice piped in. "Put a blade in her hands and your dead." They turned to see a very short old man. "I can see it in her stance." He stepped forward with his wrist extended. "Happosai," She crossed wrists with him. "Abri, daughter of Connor." "I thought as much." he then noticed the stunned glances of the others. Ranma put it SO delicately. "The old pervert is acting..... honorable?!" Happosai shrugged. "She'd kill me." Kasumi stepped in. "Abri, are you staying for dinner?" Abri looked undecided. "Of course you will, I'll set another place." She stepped out. *7* At the Cherry Hill Shrine, the sailors met. Feithe was also there. She looked VERY annoyed by the time Usagi arrived. "I'm sorry, I was talking to a boy I met who was lost." Usagi said. * * The next day Usagi didn't meet her friends at lunch. She got home late and missed the scout meeting entirely. As the next few days passed, it got worse. They rarely saw her. * * Wk2 Monday *Sailor Moon watched as the other Sailors fought with the overwhelming number of foes. They were all falling one by one. As they fell they turned to her. "Help us!" Sailor Moon instead looked angry. "You're supposed to protect me! Get up and fight!" As they all fell and lay still bleeding, the enemy suddenly turned and bowed before her. She shifted into her Princess Garb. "Well done, finish them and report back to me." She walked towards a man watching silently. "It went as you planned, Lord Balal. Without them, only Wirres, Ruluth, Zephyr, and Merce are left to oppose us." He nodded. "Very good, My Queen." He looked into the shadows. "Tarou, Mousse, Happosai, Kuno take care of the remaining Guardians." They bowed. "Yes, my Lord Balal." they said and vanished into the shadows. Balal turned back to his Queen. "Zephyr will be the hardest. We must use the..."* Then Abri woke up. She was sobbing. Though the dream was terrible, it had almost given her very vital information. 1. Saeblin of Merce was coming. 2. The Outer Senshi, Chibi-Usa, and Endymion had already been taken care of by the time this happened. 3. They feared her the most for some reason. She could see them, but her dreams were worse than random. She let her Salidihm transformation wash over her and she jumped out the window. She headed to see Feithe, but a form stepped out of the shadows. "Zephyr, it will end as you see it. As time passes you see less and less of how you would like it to end." The shadowy man chuckled. "Any time you wish to change sides, call for me, Balal. I'll hear you. Just look back on what your father did. I'll be back." She panicked and ran. She headed over to the Tendo Dojo. She landed lightly in Kasumi's window. Kasumi woke and looked over at the distraught girl. "Oh my," she said. "Dreams?" Abri nodded. Kasumi opened her bed in a motherly manner and let Abri cry on her shoulder. When Kasumi got up in the morning, Abri told her to tell the others she wouldn't be in school. Kasumi nodded and Abri headed over to the mission. *8* Feithe took one look at Abri's face and knew she wouldn't be going to school today. Abri sat at the kitchen table as Sabere and Hakere teleported in. "When is Merce coming?" Abri asked. "She should arrive today." Hakere said. Then a redhead appeared. She wore a green shirt and skirt. Her hair hung in warrior braids and her sword hung ready. "I am here." She turned to Abri. "What must I do?" Abri told them of her dreams. "We need to establish another leader in case Sailor Moon is turned." Sabere nodded. "I agree, but we can't choose from the existing group and it can't be one of us." Hakere looked thoughtful. "We can make a new one." "Make, a new one." Feithe asked. "They're not dolls." Sabere nodded. "I see. He means a Sailor Terra. There wasn't one in the Silver Millennium, but there have some in other universes." "Who can we make Terra?" Saeblin asked. "We have very little time to train or I would suggest Naru." "Ranma." Abri said. "I know he's a guy, but he is ideal. With him also comes other fighters." Saeblin nodded. "From what I know of him hr seems to suit. What would you have me do?" Abri looked to Feithe in askance. Feithe nodded. Abri sighed. "Trail Usagi. She will meet or has already met this Lord Balal. If she starts to turn, take her out of universe and show her the consequences. For a whole, bring the sailors up a level. They will need it." "And Ranma?" Hakere asked. "I will deal with Ranma." Abri said. "He will meet the Senshi in combat maybe next week." Feithe nodded. "Ruluth, continue your work with the Outer Senshi. I will see what information I can find on the DeoNet on this Balal. We'll regroup on Sunday." They all agreed and went their separate ways. *******
