DS9- #2

	Odo smiled reassurinly at her. "I want to thank you for what you did, but.."
	He was cut off by Sisko arriving at the scene. "What happened?!"
	Odo indicated an unconscious bajoran. "He attacked a cardassian. Nobuko here managed to stop him before he could injure the cardassian by shooting some type of energy from her hands."
	Kira strode over looking upset. The reason of her irritation followed her. A small group of bajorans were yelling at her. "Look what your bastard's done! She saved the life of a cardie murderer!"
	Kira spun on her heel. "Besides the fact that she is NOT my bastard, she merely stopped an outright murder."
	The bajoran's turned to Nobu. "You ungrateful....."
	A security team hustled them away and Odo turned back to Nobu. "I'm sorry about that."
	Nobu looked to Kira in frightened confusion. "I don't understand, why are they upset?"
	Sisko's paternal instincts kicked in and he hugged her. "Don't worry, it'll be okay."
	Odo ushered them off to the side. "Nobu, how did you manage that energy blast?"
	Nobu put out a hand and a glowing enrrgy ball manifested above it. "It's called chi or ki. I've been trained all my life in it's use."
	The conversation was again interupted, this time by the cardassian. He smiled at Kira and then Nobu. "The irony is amazing major." He held out a hand to Nobu. "Thank you, dear."
	She shook it hesitantly and he walked away. Her face hardened into an impassive mask. Speaking to no one in particular, she said. "I need an explanation."

	".......And so the bajorans and cardassians have been at war for years. Gul Amadon is a well known war criminal who has avoided arrest and conviction many times." Kira said.
	"It would seem that the bajorans have decidede to just kill him. The assassin was not a member of the Maquis." Odo said.
	Sisko rubbed his eyes. "I think we should all get some shuteye and talk of this in the morning."
	"I won't be able to sleep." Nobu said. "I am too chi charged."
	"How about a sedative?" Sisko suggested. "We'll give you a guard if you want."
	Nobu nodded. "All right,"
	She lay down and after a moment of worry, slept.

	Security had it's second shock late that night. There was an explosion in Serva Nobu's quarters . Odo ran after two young women in scimpy outfits as they chased a large dark fury animal who was chasing a bajoran carrying a medium sized satchel.
	The two women carried guns that looked like a 20th century idea of "ray guns". One wore a skimpy yellow outfit, had long blue hair *note: Yuri. The other had short orange hair and wore a skimpy pink outfit. *note: Kei.
	They tackled the bajoran and at the same time the security team caught up. Then all hell broke loose.
                                          *Sickbay*
	Julian Bashir sighed, "She was poisoned, but I have reversed it. The drug in the satchel matches the poison in her body."
	Odo nodded. "The two women are operatives of an organization based out of Nova Nipan caled the 3WA. Their names are Kei and Yuri. They were hired by an unknown client to protect Nobuko. They were coming to see her when they found the guard unconscious. They blew the door and began chasing the assasin. They are sorry for the destruction they caused. Oh and the animal is with them."
	Sisko grimaced, "Why do I think this is just the beggining?"
	Jake, who had come with his father, sighed. "I wish I could help protect her somehow."
	Two beings appeared. One was a beautiful white haired woman with a strange mark on her forehead. The other was a large blue genie. "Granted!" They said in unison, then glared at each other.
	The woman, "The Almighty gave me this job!"
	The genie, "Kami won't mind if I take this one. We'll talk about it next poker night."
	"Speak of the Almighty like that and I'll have to hurt you." the woman said.
	The genie smirked. "The Pantheon members are quite informal. You'll discover that when you get old enough to join."
	"Pantheon?" she squeaked. "You're of the Pantheon?"
	Another being appeared. "Q" the Ds9 people said drearily. Could things get any worse?
	Yet another being appeared. "Funny you should ask that."
	Q sighed. "Imhotep, Urd, Mara. I have an idea."
	"That's a first." Urd quipped.
	"You all see who can help him the most. Whoever wins gets *censored*."
	"Ooooh," they all said. "Agreed!" Then all 4 vanished.
	Nobu sat up. "Did I miss something?"
	                                   *
	Nobu smiled at the two women. "I've heard of you two. aren't you known as the..."
	"Don't say it!" Kei yelled, but it was too late.
	"Dirty Pair?" Nobu asked innocently.
	Yuri restrained Kei. "Our codename is the Lovely Angels. A man paid us a large amount of money about a week ago to come and protect you."
	Nobu frowned, but if you knew her you could see fear in her eyes. "That was before this trouble with the bajorans."
	Yuri nodded. "I need to know what your life on Nova Nipan was like before you came here so we can better protect you."
	Nobu nodded.
	Kira cut in. "You seem to know about those beings in sickbay."
	Nobu laughed and it broke the tension. "Oh, the two women were a goddess and a demoness. The genie was a god from another galaxy, but is a good friend of the Almighty. I don't know the other."
	"Q" Odo said with distaste. "A self proclaimed ommipotent creature. He is very annoying."
	Nobu smiled. "Well, with the help of a demoness, a goddess, a god, and an omnipotent being we should be fine, right?"
	Everyone sweatdropped.

	They all sat in a lounge to hear Nobu tell of her life pre-DS9.
	"Most of you know little of my planet. Where I come from specifically people are put into classes. I would be of the lowest class because I am of Gajin background, but my mother has enough power to keep me where she wants me and where I can do the most work for her. The family sees me as worse than a bastard and finds my continued existance repulsive. Also, I have been an annoyance to many high placed people under my mother's order. I recently refused to do any more work for her. She tried to have me killed, but my father was killed instead. I was quickly shipped offplanet by my uncle, the only one who likes me. So I have my fair share of enemies."
	They were aware she wasn't telling everything, but they knew enough for now. "So now you have troubles here and back home?"
	Nobu nodded. "I think I would like to invite some of my froends to stay with me. We can care for ourselves and I would feel safer with the added protection."
	Sisko nodded and everyone else agreed. Nobu went over to the comm unit.

	Nobu waited for her friends to arrive and sat with Lufy (or whatevber the animal's name is). "So, tell me of an adventure of yours."
	Kei and Yuri exchanged glances. "Well, we were to find this telepathic girl on this planet which was owned by a mining operation..... (see Dirty Pair: Affair on Nolandia). And anyway, she destroyed the entire planet rather than go on."
	Then they heard, "Ranma, I cannot suffer another grievance at your hands. First you do not allow Akane to come and then you..."
	Nobu cleared her throat. The youth turned to her guiltily. "Sorry Nobu-chan."
	She hugged him. "That's ok Ryo-chan." She hugged Ranma. "Ranchan!"
	"That's my line!" a female voice protested.
	Nobu turned to see Ukyo. "I missed you Ucchan."
	"Sweetto!" they heard. A thud was haerd as Happosai hit the deck. "Ouch, what was that for?"
	They ignored him.
	A beautiful young woman with long dark hair stepped out. "Rei-chan!" Nobu cried in delight.
	They hugged for a few minutes. "I didn't think you could come."
	"Thibgs have been pretty quiret at home." Rei said.
